Is a CPS Warranty just an extension of the existing manufacturer's warranty?
No, actually it's an upgrade to your existing manufacturer’s warranty. A CPS Warranty offers benefits that aren't offered by manufacturers like accidental damage & free shipping.

What’s the difference between a Replacement Plan and Repair Plan?
A Replacement Plan is available for products under $150. If the product fails, you will be reimbursed for what you paid for the product minus shipping and tax.

A Repair Plan is for products over $150 and offers free repair coverage for your product any time during the life of your warranty. If we can’t fix it, we’ll replace it!

How am I covered?
For the Replacement Plan, your coverage provides for a one-time replacement of the covered product. For the Repair Plan, you are covered for a period of up to three years (depending on which plan you purchase). Benefits include parts and labor for required repairs on your product.

What does the warranty coverage cover?
CPS warranties cover everything within the package that you have purchased, with the exception of the cables included. For example, if you have purchased our Signature Bundles with extended insurance, your warranty will cover the dash cam, battery pack and even the microSD card, except the hardwiring kit and power output cables.

When does my warranty coverage start?
Coverage begins on the 31st calendar day from when you purchased your product.

Can I transfer the CPS Protection plan to a new owner?
Yes! CPS Warranties are attached to the product itself and are transferable between owners.

Is my product covered if it's stolen or if I lose it? 
Unfortunately, the CPS Warranty does not cover lost or stolen products.

Is there a deductible when I buy CPS warranty through BlackboxMyCar?
None at all! There is a zero dollar deductible for the Replacement Plans and the Repair Plans.

What happens if my products break?
You can contact CPS directly to file a claim in three ways:

Can I buy CPS Extended Warranty Insurance for my product after I have already made my purchase?

You sure can! You can sign your product up through our Cover Your Assets (CYA) Extended Insurance link and receive an extra FREE 3-months warranty today. We would recommend selecting 'Electronics' if you are looking to purchase warranty for your dash cam or radar. The extra warranty will automatically be applied to your order during checkout.

Note that the pricing below is only for extended warranty insurance post-purchase through CYA. There are no deductibles if you purchase your CPS Extended Warranty through BlackboxMyCar.
