Since we started our business here in BC, BlackboxMyCar has been committed to protecting the lives of people on the roads, and around our community. As we close the year and in the spirit of Christmas, we are happy to announce our recent donation to North America's first free-standing hospice, Canuck Place Children's Hospice.
We are inspired by their stories, especially with the thousands of lives that have changed and become more fruitful, even in a short period. Commemorating a decade of community love and support while celebrating its foundational legacy, the organization announced that it will be staging the Gift of Love Gala in March 2024.
Canuck Place Children's Hospice, which has been providing hope to chronically sick children in Yukon and British Columbia since 1995, is recognized internationally as a leader in pediatric palliative care. Their services include pain and symptom management, medical respite, education and art, music and recreation therapy, end-of-life care, and grief and bereavement counselling – all at no cost to families.
To show our support ahead of the celebration, BlackboxMyCar reached out as auction donors and turned over 5 brand new Nextbase Dash Cams and accessories on December 5, 2023, 1500$ worth of goods. Apart from donations and sponsorships, Canuck Place Children's Hospice is also accepting premium items for their silent and live auctions to raise funds for the hospice.
